I love to help students enjoy learning, find success, explore their interests, and become life-long learners. I also believe in the importance of choice, gearing lessons towards a learner's interest and curiosity, and in fostering a love of learning. I work hard to help children and adults meet their challenges in a safe, supportive environment. I started teaching English in 2003. I was a middle and high school English teacher in brick and mortar classrooms for nine years before transitioning to homeschooling and online teaching. I've now worked with students online for over nine years and I love it. It's wonderful that we are able to meet goals, build relationships, and learn a lot no matter where in the world we log in from. Many of the students I have taught have dyslexia and other learning differences. My classes help students build confidence and interest, as well as skills.
