I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education, Master's of Arts in Teaching - Curriculum and Instruction and an Education Specialist degree in Adminstration/Superintendency. I taught a variety of subjects grades K-8, but the majority of my teaching career was in the area of middle school math. I have been a middle school assistant principal for 16 years and still currently serve in this role. In addition to my full time job as an administrator, I have tutored online English Language learners for the past 3 years. It is important to me that I personally stay connected to teaching, and the online tutoring platform allows me to do so. I enjoy watching students learn new concepts. I enjoy the challenge of finding new strategies and approaches that will make a connection between the student and the content. I enjoy reading and learning new things through reading. I have two sons that are very active in school activities and sports. My husband and I spend a lot of our time cheering on our boys. My family also enjoys spending time at the lake and any activity involving water and sunshine!
