About Me
I hope to attend dental school after completing undergrad. My primary goal as a tutor is to build confidence in my students by improving their study habits and their ability to tackle academic weaknesses. I plan on achieving this by going through fundamental questions of the particular discipline and then working with the student in the specific areas of the discipline that they are struggling with. From previous tutoring experience, I have learned that each student has varying learning styles. Accordingly, I strive to adapt my teaching style for each of my students so that their academic potential is maximized. I have mainly tutored high-school students and college students. In high school, as a junior and senior, I tutored many different math courses and I also tutored in biology/chemistry. In university, I have tutored in general chemistry. My favorite subjects to teach are general chemistry and biology. I have also enjoyed my organic chemistry courses in university and am open to working with students in this subject matter. As a college student, and speaking from high school experience, I can relate to students when a subject topic does not make sense and because of this, I hope to provide an enjoyable tutoring experience that emphasizes learning the "why" of each topic and how different topics connect to each other.
