My favorite classes in high school and throughout college were chemistry and biology which led her to pursue biochemical research and a career in medicine. During my post-secondary education, I volunteered with the One-to-One tutoring program where I tutored local elementary students in math, reading, and social studies. I also volunteered as a science instructor for Vanderbilt University’s Aspirnaut STEM Program for elementary and middle school students, while working as a Chemistry Teaching Assistant/tutor for undergraduate courses. In the fall of 2017, I will be attending the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine to complete my post-graduate studies. Daughter of a high school algebra and English teacher, I really enjoy tutoring and helping students understand subjects especially in the areas of math, reading, and science. I find it rewarding to share my knowledge and passion for science with students just being introduced to the subject. My goal in tutoring is to not only get the students on course with their grade level work but to also challenge them to surpass this level of understanding by finding creative approaches to teaching complex topics.

In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, reading, cooking, watching TV shows and spending time with my nieces and nephews.
