I have a gift for helping students comprehend complex concepts: I am able to break difficult topics into simple components, and I am able to guide students in making connections. I am especially effective at working with students who feel they are "math challenged."I have been working one-on-one with students for the past ten years, both as a college instructor and as a private tutor. Helping students gain confidence in themselves and their ability to think mathematically is both my passion and my purpose.

My philosophy of teaching can be compared to a cord plugged into an outlet. I view the successful student as a three-pronged plug. Students will have maximum learning gains when they have a connection with: 1) the material, 2) the instructor, and 3) their own learning. My job is to facilitate this connection.
