With over 6 years of experience, I have mastered the art of managing children: mixing in the perfect blend of being nice and caring, yet hard and strict when needed. The best part about tutoring is definitely seeing that you are making a difference in the students' lives: not only seeing them doing something that they were not able to do just 20 minutes ago, but also being a mentor and role model. Private tutoring is also rewarding because you get to analyze a student's personality and skill sets, in order to figure out a unique, personalized plan of action to get them advancing academically. I am able to dumb down math concepts to the most simple and basic terms, and turn it into the language of the student. I am good at providing examples and giving tricks and tips to understanding and solving the problem quicker and more efficiently. Simplicity & Efficiency are my 2 keys to success. English has always come naturally for me and was always my best subject. This is probably due to the fact that I used to read 20+ books a week growing up. English can be a difficult subject to teach, because it requires a more deep analysis of the student's capabilities and flaws, and is not as simple as seeing if the student can solve a problem.
