About Me

I received my degree in Business Management from Stony Brook University in 2013. I started tutoring friends and classmates throughout middle and high school, as well as student taught math classes after finishing the curriculum early and excelling on the Regents exams. I love tutoring in math and science, but also enjoy helping students understand context and better express their ideas in writing and history. I especially enjoy tutoring in math because it brings me great joy when a student masters a concept with which they were previously struggling. I also excel at helping students study and prepare for exams because I help them develop better study habits, as opposed to simply cramming to do well on a single exam. I have a passion to motivate students to achieve their full potential. More than raising test scores, I help each student gain more confidence in their own abilities and increase their proficiency in understanding with context, rather than simply memorizing facts or formulas. I adapt my teaching style to the particular needs of each student, with the objective of guiding students in becoming more capable overall, through practice in sharpening their strengths and overcoming their weaknesses. My hobbies include video games, snowboarding, singing/music, working out/exercise, and doing Tough Mudder! I love doing Tough Mudder because it is both individually challenging, as well as being very team-oriented. This allows me to personally challenge my own limits while also helping others to do the same!
