About Me

I am a graduate of St. John's University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with minors in French and Business Administration. Since graduation, I obtained teaching certifications in Spanish and French. My student teaching experience was at Kings Park High School, where I taught Spanish to ninth and tenth graders. My tutoring style is to convey to students that a foreign language does not have to be overwhelming if it is broken down into simple parts. My teaching philosophy is that I believe everyone approaches learning differently and a tutor should understand the student's learning style. I try to pinpoint the root of any learning difficulties so we can work together to overcome those difficulties and achieve success. I have always had an interest in learning foreign languages. I have traveled throughout Europe and also have a basic knowledge of German and Italian. My hobbies include home decorating and cooking.
