I recently graduated from the University of Houston with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, and I am in the process of transitioning to a research position. I chose to pursue a career in academia because I have always enjoyed the scientific process, and learning and teaching are some of the most enjoyable experiences a person can have. More importantly, I have conveyed complex ideas to others. One of the most important aspects of technical research is being able to communicate your thoughts effectively. I understand the importance of taking a step-by-step approach and packaging ideas in ways that people can visualize. I am, at my core, a technically-minded problem solver.
