About Me

I'm a recent graduate of Harvard University and a natural teacher, and I'd be thrilled to help you build your skills, gain academic confidence, and get results! My B.A. is in American history and literature with a minor in theater. I spent my college years producing and directing student theater, writing plays, giving campus tours, and researching and writing my honors thesis on art criticism in New York City in the late 1960s.Since moving to New York, I have continued to hone my playwriting skills. I also work as an apprentice at a theater company currently in residence at the Metropolitan Museum. Eventually, I hope to get my MFA in playwriting and/or my PhD in American Studies. In my free time, I love to cook and read novels. I design each tutoring session to meet student needs, but you always can expect a compassionate and humorous yet progress-driven approach from me. I'll help you break academic goals down into bite-sized, non-intimidating tasks-- my infectious energy has been known to make even the SAT seem fun and manageable. In addition to SAT, SAT II, PSAT, and AP test prep, I am an extremely experienced and capable writer and will help you structure and stylize your college admissions essay or school writing assignment such that your point is as salient and persuasive as possible.
