About Me

While I have more than six years of experience tutoring in a multitude of subjects, I can offer an eager student more than a jump in grades or test scores. I pride myself in being able to bring about not just these immediate goals, but in bringing the student along in a comprehensive way; in writing, reasoning, and learning ability. What I provide is professional and academic mentoring, the kind that allows a student to be more than a test score. Many students, brilliant and motivated though they are, can make poor decisions about the college admissions process, about resume building, what they do in their extracurricular time, in interviews, etc. These problems cannot be avoided by just being intelligent. Even doing research in these areas can be daunting, as the internet, full of useful information as it is, provides both wise and foolish advice to young students. Navigating this resource requires experience and professional acumen, and it is not an inborn trait. I have worked with the entire spectrum of students; those looking to get into an IVY league school, and those just hoping to make it through high school. I can most easily and effectively tutor in the sciences, test preparation, and the writing process. I am the biggest asset to those students who have aspirations in the medical, scientific, or research fields, or who are hoping to be more competitive in the prep-school or college application process.
