About Me

I am a graduate of California Lutheran University. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health Professions. Currently, I am working towards obtaining my Master's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. My degree will be in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biomechanics. I am currently working as a Graduate Assistant in the Kinesiology Department. My passion for tutoring started in 6th grade. That year, I decided that I wanted to take the trip from California to Cooperstown, New York, when Tony Gwynn was to be a sure first ballot Hall of Fame selection. I came up with a plan to begin tutoring 2nd and 3rd grade students, to make enough money, to make my dream trip happen. I was successful, but more importantly, I learned that I had a passion and a gift for certain academic areas and sharing this gift with others. Throughout the next eight years, I tutored on and off while juggling school, baseball, and family. In addition to this tutoring experience, I worked for two years as a Camp Counselor for the city, during semester breaks, in college. Needless to say, I have a great relationship with children and I thoroughly enjoy watching them succeed. I am a huge sports fanatic and I enjoy just about anything to do with sports. In addition, I have a real passion for music. I played drums for several years throughout elementary and middle school.
