Since graduation, I joined the Rhode Island Teaching Fellows where I had the opportunity to work towards a teaching certificate and begin my journey in the classroom. Outside of academia, I enjoy going for long runs. I used to be a sprinter while I was still in school and decided to take on the new challenge of long distance running. I also enjoy various other activities such as kayaking, indoor rock climbing and running off to amusement parks as often as possible. Additionally, I am an avid reader and am always looking for a good book to read on a typical afternoon. My teaching philosophy revolves around breaking content down as much as possible so that all students can understand. I believe even the most complicated of materials can be understood if the teacher takes the time necessary for students to build their skill set and confidence and this was especially useful to me in my time as a chemistry teacher.
