About Me

I'm an incoming junior studying Economics and Music at the University of Pennsylvania. This summer I'm interning at Life or Death, a music management and public relations company that specializes in building the careers of independent artists. Music is my passion, and I spend a lot of my free time attending shows and looking for new music. I have several years of experience tutoring students in math (pre-algebra, algebra I/II, pre-calculus, and calculus) and SAT prep. I also coached mock trial debate as part of the National Hispanic Institue Youth Leadership Conference, where I learned how important it is to express yourself and your ideas clearly. In my experience, a student can't learn if he or she doesn't see the connection between academics and pursuing one's dreams. For example, Algebra may seem useless in daily life, but a solid foundation in math allows me to understand basic principles of business that are essential for working with others. Through being friendly and accessible, I work to make students feel engaged with the material rather than just memorizing facts.
