I am a graduate cum laude of Abilene Christian University with a bachelor of arts in History and a minor in English. I have worked as an assistant editor and have plans to continue onto graduate school with a specialization in the American Gilded Age. As a tutor, I prefer to emphasize critical thinking and technique over memorization. A student who memorizes the answers can pass a test, but a student who knows how to effectively research and problem-solve can excel in anything they do. My goal is to help my students learn critical thinking and to enjoy learning as well as become proficient in their subject. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing short stories, and playing and designing tabletop games.
