Madeline

I am a very positive, friendly person who always has a smile on her face. I have been a teacher/tutor for ten years. I can work with students from many backgrounds and cultures and students with disabilities. Previously, I worked for ten years as a Biologist for the USDA. I have also worked as a librarian's assistant, and laboratory assistant. So, I bring with me experience from the real world, and merge it with my knowledge of Science, language, literacy and teaching techniques, to give you the complete package. I am the mother of two teenage boys and a seven year old daughter. So, I know about developmental stages, and have developed a tremendous amount of patience. I identify the student's learning style, strengths and weaknesses and take it from there. I am very encouraging, and use demos, experiments, interactive websites and appropriate textbooks to make learning fun. I can't wait to hear from you to start working together towards achieving: the solid knowledge, learning techniques and confidence that you or your child need to succeed!

Poetry and song-writing, dancing, singing,spending time with my family. I am active in my church. I would like to put together an interfaith youth group for homebound students to provide positive socializing opportunities.
