I'm a senior at Vanderbilt majoring in neuroscience and psychology with a minor in creative writing. I've been tutoring since the beginning of high school for lots of ages in all types of math, science, and writing. I love meeting new people and adapting my teaching style to fit the student's needs.

I am here to help any student who is struggling understanding any concepts within history and discover their own personal interests within the subject. I have just graduated with a Master's Degree in Adolescent Education and would love to help any student to the best of my ability.

After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I enrolled in a Pre-medical post baccalaureate program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have been tutoring various subjects for 4 years now. I have tutored French, Spanish, English, adult literary (preparing for the United States Citizenship Examination), and peer tutored Chemistry and Biology during my time at UNCG. I enjoy being a part of one's journey toward realization of a subject matter. When the light bulb goes off in someone's head, I am happy that I could be there to help turn it on. My name is Adrienne, and I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I moved to Denver 3 years ago to attend law school and to get a change of scenery. I recently graduated from law school and I am in the process of beginning my second career. Prior to law school, I was a high school mathematics teacher and adjunct professor in Phoenix, Arizona. As a educator, I taught high school regular and remedial math students in the areas of Algebra through Pre-Calculus, university entry business classes, and lower level math classes. As an undergraduate student I tutored for the university, a local high school, and I was a private tutor to a student during her sophomore year through her senior year.My educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Pepperdine University, a Masters in Secondary Education specializing in curriculum and instruction from Grand Canyon University, a Masters in Business Administration from Arizona State University, and a Juris Doctorate from University of Denver. My extensive education is attributed to my desire to be the best in my field. In my spare time I enjoy Crossfit, trying new restaurants, and movie night Fridays with my family. I also visit my Texas family about three times a year and take a major trip every other year. My most recent adventure was a trip to Italy!My teaching philosophy is to take complex concepts and simplify them by learning a step by step process followed by demonstrations and student practice. Many times students have challenges in math because they are missing a step. As a tutor, it is my job to identify gaps and fill them so the student will be successful moving forward.

Learning the English language allowed me to see the world through a different lens, exposing me to new and exciting customs and ideas. Because I am a witness of what learning a new language can do for a person, I decided that if I wanted to teach to change someone's life, the best choice was to teach Spanish. Attempting to use the language as a conveyance method to become citizens of the world, and why not, as a tool to change their lives, as the English language did for me.

I am currently a Junior attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am an Operations and Information Management major at the Isenberg School of Management and an honors student at the Commonwealth Honors College. Ever since I was a junior at Lynbrook High Shool, I have been tutoring students in various math subjects. I have tutored students in Algebra, Calculus, and SAT math and have made positive impacts on their scores. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, playing video games, and playing sports with my friends.

I am a sophomore at the University of Virginia intending to major in Environmental Science and English with a minor in History. I've loved tutoring students of all ages through tutoring programs in my hometown as well as through my K-12 school district. I have a lot of experience with younger children and love learning with them! Getting to know my students both as people and as learners is a top priority for me because I believe it creates a more comfortable, fun, and productive learning environment. I enjoy tutoring a broad range of subjects, including English (grammar, reading comprehension, writing, spelling) and Math (Elementary-level, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Calculus). I play soccer, ultimate frisbee, and guitar. I love to hike, be outdoors, and meet new people!

I have student taught college Chemistry, and I have written Continued Learning materials for a Continuing Legal Education symposium. I worked as a nanny for over 8 years before I had my own child. I am quite familiar with being around children and encouraging them to grow. I have never had a student under my instruction not succeed, which is an accomplishment I am quite proud of. My students walk away from the classroom understanding the material.

I have been tutoring and teaching students from elementary to college age in French and English for nearly seven years. I have worked as a private tutor for American students, as well as French students when I studied abroad in Strasbourg, France for a semester. I also worked as a French teaching assistant for three years while in college.I especially like helping students learn French. I like to reinforce what they've learned by putting it into practice, whether through worksheets or mock conversations. I also often supplement lessons by introducing them to aspects of literature, videos, and history with which they can practice what they've learned while also learning about francophone culture.
