I am an avid Lakers basketball fan. I also enjoy cooking and traveling.

Helping students has always felt deeply personal to me. I know what it's like to struggle with a subject and how much of a difference the right guidance can make. That's what drives me, not just to explain the material, but to meet students where they are, and help them build confidence along the way. My teaching philosophy is centered around a low-pressure, high-engagement environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I use real-world examples, visual breakdowns, and active recall to reinforce understanding and make learning stick. I'm currently in my 4th year of medical school, so I have a certain love for Biology and other life sciences. It can be complex, but when taught the right way, it becomes incredibly intuitive and logical. I also thoroughly enjoy teaching SAT/ACT prep, as it also can be tricky for students to see through its complexity, but becomes much easier to find the objective when taught the right way, with the right tools.
Hello! I am Jason Min, a recent college graduate looking to do some tutoring over the summer. Please feel free to ask me questions!
I carry different techniques to make sure the students are actively engaged. Through online tutoring I will make sure that students are getting enough information. I will try my level best to give a campus based experience through online to the students. I have had a vast experience of teaching many undergraduate courses. My students vary from non-science majors to chemistry majors. The broad range of my teaching experience has improved the veracity of my lectures. I have learned the art of engaging students in the class while exposing them to the field of chemistry. The academia stands to contribute to the growth of the society through teaching.
I am working towards my Finance degree in the Freeman School of Business. I have tutoring experience, as I tutored students in English and Mathematics during high school. Now, I tutor K-12 Math/English, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, and Language Arts, as well as Python, Hebrew, and Test Prep. My favorite subjects to tutor include Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Language Arts. In terms of my tutoring philosophy, I feel as though a student has not mastered a topic until he/she can effectively explain it back to me as if I am a student wanting to learn said topic. Throughout my experience tutoring and receiving tutoring, I have found that this is a very powerful way of assessing mastery of a concept.
I am a graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School working toward my major at LSU in vocal music with a minor in digital advertising. I have been working with younger students since fourth grade. I started with in-school babysitting. Eventually, I got babysitting jobs over the summer which quickly turned into tutoring. I love helping others, and I am especially passionate about helping young people work toward their dreams! Although I am qualified to tutor many subjects, my favorites are math, English, and anything involving music. English has always been easy for me. I enjoy math because so many students can greatly improve from just a little bit of math help. Typically, students who struggle need to review the basics to understand the more complex ideas. Of course, music is my favorite above all because it is my greatest passion. I have been studying music since the second grade, and I am excited to share what I have learned with others who are passionate about it! I believe that every kid has potential. We just need to meet them where they are and figure out their learning style. With support and a little extra help, students can go far!
Hello! My name is Neha Mothilal, and I am a rising second-year Honors student at the University of Florida majoring in Health Science on the pre-medicine track. I have a strong passion for education, communication, and the medical sciences, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. Through competitive academic programs, tutoring, and leadership experiences, I have learned how to explain complex concepts in ways that are engaging and easy to understand. Throughout my childhood, I competed in various spelling bees, including the Scripps National Spelling Bee, where I developed a deep appreciation for language, word origins, and effective communication. Later, I discovered HOSA's Medical Spelling competition, which perfectly combined my love for orthography with my growing passion for science and healthcare. I spent countless hours studying Taber's Medical Dictionary and organizing medical terminology into detailed study systems, further strengthening both my academic discipline and interest in medicine. My tutoring experience began with helping younger students prepare for spelling competitions before expanding into tutoring English and Math through Kumon. Working with students of different ages and learning styles helped me discover my passion for teaching and mentorship. I especially enjoy helping students build confidence and develop a stronger understanding of challenging material. As a tutor, my goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe every student learns differently, and I always strive to adapt my teaching style to each student's individual needs while ensuring they fully understand concepts before moving forward.
I am an educator of the sciences. I have taught Life Science, Biology, Physical and Earth Sciences for fourteen years in grades 7-12. I trained with the Keystone Science School of Denver, Colorado, the LSU Coastal Roots Program and have earned over six hundred hours in science literacy training in many areas. Science has a very strong mathematical component and that is why I also specialize in Math tutoring.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have a Bachelors degree and two Masters degrees in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Georgia. All of my degrees were earned with at least a 3.9 GPA and I earned the honor of being named the top math major from my undergraduate institution when I graduated. I have also had the pleasure of teaching mathematics at two different colleges and started tutoring math and physics over 20 years ago. Please allow me to accompany you on the exciting journey of exploration into math and physics!
I am a dedicated tutor with a genuine passion for helping students to improve their grades and fall in love with learning. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and my greatest joy comes from helping them discover their own strength and confidence. I am here to provide a supportive, patient, and encouraging space for growth.
I received my MS in math from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and my BS in math from Augusta University. I was pursuing a PhD in math at UTK so I have 5 years of teaching experience on top of 4 years of tutoring experience in undergrad. I love helping students one-on-one and that's why I tutored middle and high schoolers privately while also working at the math lab at AU tutoring adults. I tutor any math class from middle school to undergraduate, and I also excel with test prep (SAT, GRE, etc.). My approach to tutoring is helping students understand not only how you complete a problem but why we complete the problem that way; I also try to instill academic confidence in my students.
My life's work has been and continues to be assisting students in building confidence while exploring the wonders of language and mathematics. Whether it be Algebra, ACT preparation, or English for non-native speakers, I have enjoyed my 20+ years working with students both in the U.S. and abroad (China & India). I have tutored students as young as Pre-K, but most of my experience lies with high school, university & adult students. For those seeking assistance with the ACT, I have several years of experience tutoring all subjects - content & strategies. With the changes in the ACT last year (science optional, shorter subject tests with differing times), I decided to take the new Enhanced ACT with hundreds of high school students to gain first-hand experience with how the alterations might affect test strategy and gauge any changes in content. My split focus affected the science score most (:D), but I look forward to sharing my newly gained insights with my students.
