I'm a computer science major at Penn State with a lot of application-oriented programming experience, but also academic experience. Some highlights include 1560 on the SAT and 5 on AP Comp Sci A.

I am from a small town in Iowa and currently a fourth year student at the University of Chicago studying economics. During my time here I have studied abroad twice. Two years ago in Beijing, China and last spring in Athens, Greece. I can speak English and Spanish fluently and can speak a little Mandarin Chinese. After graduation in June, I will be working in finance and specifically financial markets. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my friends and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes during the fall football season.
I am a current biological sciences major and bioengineering minor at the University of Notre Dame. As a biology major/bioengineering minor, math and science are my passions, and I love to share the joy I derive from those subjects with students. I have been a math tutor to elementary, middle, and high school students. While my favorite subject to tutor is any type of math, I also tutor biology. As a tutor, I believe that learning should be fun, and work to make it that way. Since I am still currently in school, I am constantly being exposed to new methods of teaching and am able to utilize those methods when tutoring. When I am not in the middle of a good book, I enjoy cooking and gardening.
I am a three-time graduate of the University of Notre Dame. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History, and received Master's Degrees in both Education and Educational Administration. I spent 17 years in secondary education, beginning my career as a social studies teacher and then transitioning to several administrative roles including dean of students, activities director, and principal. I currently tutor in English, Writing, and Essay Editing. I have spent time tutoring Vietnamese students applying to colleges and universities in the United States, assisting them with their application essays from concept to completion. I love to teach, whether that is how to swim, how to water ski, or how to write an excellent essay. In any teaching situation, what I enjoy most is watching the fear leave students' eyes as they realize that they can do something they didn't believe they could do. That's why tutoring in college application essays is my favorite. Essays can be intimidating, especially when admission to college is riding on them, but the barriers that cause fear can be easily broken down and every student can be empowered to write excellent essays. I've worked with students applying to nearly all of the top 25 universities in the United States. I take a very personal approach to tutoring, meeting students where they are and walking alongside them to get them where they want to be. When I'm not working, I enjoy doing anything with my dog and anything outside, especially if it involves being under, in, or on water.

Hello! I recently graduated with my Bachelor's in Russian, Political Science, and Ethics & Public Policy. I spent the summer on a Critical Language Scholarship for intensive Russian study in Latvia, and plan to attend law school next year. I break nursing concepts into clear, manageable parts and connect every topic to real clinical examples. By simplifying complex material and grounding it in realworld application, I help students build confidence, strengthen critical thinking, and understand how classroom knowledge translates into safe, effective patient care.
I'm not tutoring or buried in my textbooks, you will either find me rock climbing at the Triangle Rock Club, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working on my car, or enjoying the great outdoors (beaches, mountains, forests--you name it, I love it). On rainy weekends I enjoy tinkering with computers and old electronics, playing Pokemon, or picking at my guitar.
I am an interdisciplinary educator with an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. My background is primarily in integrated arts learning and museum education and I specialize in visual arts, history and art history, and object-based learning. In all subjects, I take a creative, inquiry-based and learner-centered approach, designing opportunities for each unique individual to meet their learning goals.
I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
