We went over problems that the student previously got wrong in math and English. A lot of the errors were for not understanding the question clearly, rather than conceptual. I gave suggestions for how to approach the unfamiliar math and English questions. The student was also able to do many of them correctly on her own the second time. She seemed to understand the explanations for the more complicated problems, but we didn't get a chance to test her ability on similar problems. The student said she would take a timed practice test or test sections before next time.
