My teaching philosophy (especially when it comes to standardized tests) stems from my background in athletics. My whole life, I've competed, and what I've learned is this: the harder you practice, the easier the game will be. Private Global History REGENTS Tutoring
Receive personally tailored Global History REGENTS lessons from exceptional tutors in a one-on-one setting. We help you connect with the best tutor for your particular needs while offering flexible scheduling to fit your busy life.
The Global History and Geography Regents exam is a New York State standardized test administered to 10th graders in order to assess how well they have learned the material discussed in 9th and 10th Grade social studies. If your child is feeling a little apprehensive about taking a test on topics they learned nearly two years ago, Varsity Tutors can connect you with an experienced Global History Regents tutor who can help them pursue academic success.
The format of the test could be one of the first things discussed during Global History Regents tutoring sessions:
- Part 1: Multiple-Choice - 30 questions arranged in chronological order, ranging from ancient times to the present day.
- Part 2: Thematic Essay - This essay could be about anything discussed in the course, including revolutions, movements, wars, or people
- Part 3: Document Based Question (DBQ) - A series of documents with scaffolding questions, culminating in an essay where students must use the documents as supporting evidence for their arguments.
Unlike test review courses, private Global History Regents tutoring can concentrate on a student's specific areas of weakness. If your child needs a refresher on what they studied as a freshman, their tutor can oblige. While most classrooms only have so much time before they have to move on to the next topic, a Global History Regents tutor has the freedom to spend as much time on a topic as a student needs.
