I have earlier scored a 720 in the GMAT and have taught students for the GRE, SAT, and the GMAT courses. With my practical experience and academic background, I am able to blend the two while explaining important concepts to students. I am also someone who teaches students tricks to do well in exams. If young students want to become class toppers, I can teach them tricks and tips to make marked improvements in their grades. On the practical certification side, I have also done Security Analysis in both the Equity and the Debt markets.

I have been teaching Math and Statistics for over 15 years. I am very passionate about teaching these subjects and want to make the teaching of theses subjects easy and interesting to students. I have Masters Degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Kishnov State University, Moldove and from the University of Alberta, Canada. I am happy when my students are happy and understand what I teach them.

I have a PhD (Yale) in history and an MBA (UCLA) in finance. I have excellent writing and research skills, and have made extensive use of German and French -- spoken and for research. My work in finance has required skills with mathematics. I have taught university classes in finance and international economics. Another area of much interest, related to my background in history and public policy, is US constitutional law. I published a book on monetary history (*Gold, France, and the Great Depression*) , and a more recent book of essays on topics in economics and diplomatic history (http://books.ksplibrary.org/978-625-7501-75-0/ ) .... I have worked extensively on government-related projects, often in the greater Middle East. Effective tutoring should do more than impart techniques -- it should certainly do that -- it should help a student come away with some interest in and enthusiasm for the topic. (Soft evidence for the last is that my daughter earned a PhD in neuro-science, and credits me with inspiring her.)

I have enjoyed teaching all my life. I have taught and coached swimming, Boy Scout skills, classes and small groups in church, college classes, and enrichment classes for home schoolers. I like tutoring one to one because of the flexibility it allows me to have in tailoring the tutoring to the individual needs of the student.

I graduated from Tufts University with a double major in Mathematics and Psychology. Subsequently I earned Masters degrees in Education ( Stanford), Accounting/MBA ( Northeastern) and Finance ( George Washington). I earned my Credential to teach Mathematics and Psychology in California, and taught high school in San Jose. I also taught Math at Tabor Academy and at Avery Coonley School. I left teaching full time and now work for the US Government working on accounting and Finance Systems. I am an expert skier and teach skiing during the winter months. I missed teaching so I currently tutor students in all levels of Math and love it! The joy of helping individual students understand a concept and succeed, where they thought they couldn't, is what keeps me tutoring! I enjoy working with all levels of students, working to understand what is/are the concept(s) keeping each one from reaching their potential. Even though I am a self proscribed math geek, I don't expect my students to love math as much as I do, but I try to impart my enthusiasm and love for math. Let's try and enjoy Math together.

I have an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Michigan State University and a Master's degree in mathematics from the University of Miami. I worked for The Princeton Review as a tutor for the SAT. I did very well on both the SAT and ACT, and like teaching students how to do better on those. I like history, too, and always find it fun to tutor history.
