My last graduation in Jamaica was from the University of the West Indies, where I majored in Mathematics Education.Since graduation I have traveled to several places, where I have taught in various secondary level schools and as such, I have acquired experiences and learning strategies to better help in meeting the varying needs of my students,One year I had a unique experience at the high school my older daughter attended in Rock Hill, South Carolina because of her unique aptitude to learning and the support coming from us as parents, her assistant principal hired me to tutor a group of seniors who needed help to graduate during the summer. This was a great privilege especially since at the time, I was just a parent, not a teacher in that school district.I generally get along with my students they think I'm cool. I aspire to be relevant and effective when working with youths.I am passionate about helping students because I remember as a student, the difficulties I had when I didn't understand something, and I wasn't able to get the help that was needed and how that made me feel.
