I am a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught full time for three years. I have taught preschool, third, fourth and fifth grade students. The last two years I have been in a resource classroom teaching reading and writing. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the student grow and learn. I always tell my students to say "I have not learned that yet," not "I cannot learn that." Learning is a mindset and when the mindset is right, the learning will come. I cannot wait to get the chance to help you learn all that you want to learn.

I am Emergency Medicine Doctor. I fell in love with a few things when I was young: math and medicine. I was the top in my class for math scores, but I knew that could not take me into a career I would love. For that reason, I majored in chemistry and minored in mathematics at Villanova University before starting medical school. I can help you get through your big exam, your semester, or maybe even the homework you have to cram for tomorrow! Especially storytelling and language evolutions.I believe everyone can always learn more and new things.Outside of the classroom I love live theatre, good food, and traveling.

My applied dissertation concentrated on the effective teaching of economics and the effects of teaching styles on achievement that could be replicated in any discipline and curriculum. In other words, my research and studies involved innovative teaching pedagogy, which means enabling and engaging students on each and every topic to participate in discussion groups regarding the deep learning related to the subject matter. This process includes team leaders who report to me and no doubt, as has been my experience, students enjoy discussing economic and business topics that they are studying and to which they are exposed.I earned my MBA from LeTourneau University with a concentration in management organizational behavior. Regarding my work experiences and occupations prior to participating in the education field, I have worked in and I have been trained in the following occupations. The work and training include: marketing, sales, and business management for Xerox Corporation, Nestl Corporation, Warner Chilcott Pharmaceuticals, Ayerst Pharmaceuticals, Leeway Motor Freight, and Ryder Motor Freight. I also owned and operated McKizzie Life and Health Insurance Agency. Now to get to the following that I have enjoyed most of all, working in the educational and business arenas.

I am currently a practicing CPA in the public accounting industry. I received my bachelor's and master's of Accounting from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. I now live in Hoboken, NJ!I am currently tutoring in most math and business subjects, as well as for the ACT and CPA exams. As a CPA, I have always loved and excelled at math. In college, I often led review sessions for my math classes and also peer reviewed essays.I do not have a particular tutoring style. I like to say whatever works best for the students works best for me! I believe the key to mastering any subject is understanding it in your own way. During our sessions, that will be one of our biggest goals, determine your learning style and how you best understand, absorb, and retain material.Outside of tutoring and my job, I love to dance! I am very into fitness and have been dancing since I was 7 years old. I was even on a competitive dance team in college! I also love trying difficult baking recipes and colored pencil portraits.

I have worked as a preceptor to new graduates nurses, to help then to get a better understanding of time management, assessment and delegating to others within their scope of practice. I've also had the pleasure of volunteering for a organization called RN network. We work within the community to provide various senior citizens education regarding safety and wellness check-ups in their homes.Since working in Gastonia N.C. I was asked to become a clinical instructor for a local company. This by far as been one of my most rewarding positions. In which, it gives me a opportunity to bring in my personal teaching styles and lessons learned to the classroom. I understand that everyone will learn differently and it's my goal to help you through the process of understanding a new subject matter.Lastly, I truly love what I do most days. Everyday is never the same in the nursing world, but that is what I enjoy the most .
