My passion for teaching has grown over the years, from teaching my own children to each new student in my classroom. I have been teaching a variety of students for the past fifteen years: PreK-high school students from the U.S.: Massachusetts, California, Oregon, Florida, Maryland, Michigan and Texas; and international children, adult, business and university students from Asia, Europe and Latin America. My teaching settings have varied with my travels: I have had the opportunity to teach ESL Business classes to executives at multinational companies in Ecuador, South America. All the students I have helped have improved by at least a full letter grade. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Physics and a specialization in Robotics and I passed the FE exam in September of 2018. I understand that not all students are able to learn the same way and I try to adapt my teaching methods to better suit the student. This idea is something that I reflect on, usually at the beginning of the academic year, to reinforce to myself the extent to which my students are counting on me as a teacher, the importance of what I am setting out to do, and the dedication required to achieve this goal.
