I am a board certified physical therapist, with a special interest in pediatric physical therapy. I completed my DPT at Northwestern University, and received my undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Vanderbilt University. During my time at Northwestern, I gained experience tutoring in coursework that required the highest level of academic rigor. I use my extensive science background to help students better understand the fundamentals of the physical therapy curriculum, and draw upon my clinical experience to frame that information in a more understandable and useful way. After experiencing the extensive prep-work that goes into preparing for the NPTE myself, I am eager to use my knowledge and experience to help any candidate feel more confident in taking this very important step in their career!

My name is Kyle Lanier and I am passionate about helping students succeed in music! I have been teaching for 20 years and have experience in all levels K-12, was a band director for 14 years and now teach elementary music in an International Baccalaureate school. I received my Bachelor of Music degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and a Master of Arts in Human Services Administration from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. I am comfortable tutoring students in all types of music subjects from theory to history and even can help with instrument or voice lessons as needed. While I love all types of music, I truly love teaching trumpet lessons because I am a professional trumpet player and perform with the local symphony in my community, and freelance as needed. My teaching philosophy is that of an encourager and facilitator in student learning. I approach learning as a coach, coming alongside the student to assist them as needed, but ultimately to cheer them on in their pursuit of knowledge. In addition to my love for music, I'm also a technology geek and love exploring various types of technology.

I earned a B.S. in biology with minors in geology and government at U.T. Edinburg. I returned to college and got teaching certificates in middle school life-earth science, high school biology and language-learning disabilities. Finally I earned an A.A. in physical therapy. I graduated with honors in all my degrees. I taught life-earth science and special education. In summer months I taught at risk students who were trying to get into college. Later I performed physical therapy on school kids.To finance my physical therapy education, I obtained an SBA loan and opened a tutoring center. Most of my clients were elementary or junior high students, but I did tutor an R.N. who needed to pass introduction to statistics for her career. The most frequent subject I tutored was math which was my favorite. Though math concepts are simple many students are intimidated by them. Students that have struggled with a concept need to bolster their confidence before mastering it. Teaching one to one or in small groups allows me to craft my lessons to match each students learning style.On my time off I attend science lectures at local colleges and started a science meet up group. I also enjoy working out at the gym.

As a teacher and childcare professional, I have worked with an array of students from different cultures, economic, racial, and geographical backgrounds. I am passionate about providing help to students from all walks of life and believe each student deserves the support they need to achieve their goals. The subject I teach is English, and I have worked for the past school year with non-native English-speaking 1st-3rd graders on their English comprehension. In addition, my time as a childcare professional has given me extensive experience tutoring various subjects to children of all ages. My teaching philosophy consists of creative lesson planning, engaging activities, and incorporating each students learning style into their curriculum.

Anyone who is honest will tell you life ain't always fair, but life is GOOD as long as you do the work. After being in the business world for over 20+ years I find myself ready to give back. Former Commissioned Officer and Enlisted Airman and Scholarship for Outstanding Airmen to enter ROTC (SOAR) Recipient. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in International Studies at the University of West Florida and earned a commissioned as an Air Force Intelligence Officer, serving on Active Duty for 16 years. I was a student leader from the beginning of my military career, was selected as a Ceremonial Guardsman Trainer in Air Force Honor Guard, trained Aircrew (Pilots, Navigators, and crewmembers) and younger Airmen during my time as an Officer, and am experience in military training, testing, and preparation to enter Air Force service.I enjoy helping students take their knowledge and skills to the next level, and working along side them to achieve their goals.

I'm a 2021 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. I've been tutoring chemistry in some form since 2017 and I am passionate about teaching! I love finding new ways to explain complex topics.

I passed the NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator License exam on my first try with a 95% after months of dedicated studying and am happy to be able to help others prepare for the exam - in fact, every single one of my students that I've tutored has passed!
