I'm incredibly well-rounded in terms of what I'm capable of teaching and moreover, have a generally positive pedagogical approach to everything; I really do love teaching. Even fields in which I have little experience become a contest with myself to master solely for the sake of helping a student. I have extensive experience in reading, writing, and editing (I've been published several times over as both head author and editor) and its something that I truly love to do. I currently hold three Undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Linguistics, as well as two Graduate degrees in Philosophy and Theology. I am originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia and graduated from Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology in 2016. With a full ride scholarship, I am currently a sophomore at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science while also pursuing the pre-medical track. Since beginning college, I have been given the opportunity to tutor a variety of students. I began volunteering in my freshman year with the Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees in which I tutor refugee high school students with their coursework assessments, and English skills. I have also volunteered with the International Rescue Committee to tutor refugee adults in improving their English. In addition, I have worked with the Rice University Athletic Department to tutor athletic students in areas such as chemistry and mathematics. While I can tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology. Because I believe the education is an important tool to empower students to reach their future goals, I hope to help students reach their academic potential by tailoring my tutoring sessions to them. Besides school work and tutoring, I enjoy running, reading, and Netflix shows such as Parks and Rec.

I am a history-secondary education major, with a minor in psychology, and have experience teaching in the classroom at the secondary level. Therefore, I can bring new and proven methods to tutoring young students, as well as expertise within the subjects of history, writing and psychology. I am also a proven successful test taker, having scored a 2000 on my SAT exam, passed 4 AP Tests, passed the Praxis II exam, scored a 700 on a History SAT Subject Exam, and passed the EdTPA Teachers Proficiency Exam. I am a current graduate student at the University of Chicago studying clinical social work with a concentration in pediatric psychiatry. I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Franklin and Marshall College. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I started tutoring elementary and middle school students when I was in high school and continued to tutor when I was in college. Additionally, when I was in college I worked for an organization where I advised three high school students through the entirety of the college application process. Currently, I am a social work intern in the department of psychiatry at Lurie Children's Hospital. I have experience working with young people who encompass a wide range of learning abilities and I am sensitive to the unique needs that may pose a challenge to a student's learning. I am comfortable tutoring a variety of different subjects, but I have the most experience tutoring psychology, English, and science. I strongly believe in fostering an environment where the student feels supported and encouraged in the learning process.

I am a true New England boy, and am an alumnus of Wesleyan, Yale and Uconn Law School. I was a double major in Political Science and Psychology and enjoy the intersection of the two. I have taught for over twenty years most recently as a professor of Law and Criminology at UB. I also lived in Hong Kong and taught test prep to some of the world's most aspirational students.

I am a third-year medical student at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. I graduated from the University of Kansas in three years with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and minors in psychology and Spanish. Before starting medical school, I worked as a medical assistant and a tutor for the KU Athletic Department. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I worked with students extensively as a peer tutor, undergraduate teaching assistant, and seminar assistant. Tutoring has always been a passion of mine as I love to help others by way of education. I work hard with students to establish a friendship that allows for a comfortable dynamic conducive to learning and asking questions. I also utilize a variety of resources in order to keep students engaged and frequently ask questions to assess their learning level. I recognize the importance of working with students to better understand their learning styles and studying methods in order to create individualized tutoring plans that maximize growth in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom. I aim to help students develop valuable habits and skills that will bring success that lasts beyond our tutoring sessions. I feel comfortable modifying my approach when working with different ages, although I have found that many aspects of my teaching strategy remain constant among all my students. I tutor many classes ranging from algebra to statistics, but my favorite courses to teach are related to psychology!

I'm currently a second year medical student at New York Medical College. I spent the last 4 years doing synthetic biology research at NASA Ames Research Center out in California. I graduated from Stanford University with both a bachelors and masters degrees in biology.

I am a second-year Clinical Psychology Doctoral student at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Science in Society. I have been tutoring since I was in high school. I myself took IB Psychology so I understand what it's like! I love teaching so I'm very passionate about tutoring. My favorite parts of psychology are clinical, social, and the history/philosophy behind psychology. Other than psychology I love history and specifically 20th century history.

I am a poet, lover of literary gossip, and unrepentant Freud apologist. I have a BA in English and Psychology from Columbia University and will soon be pursuing an MFA at Johns Hopkins.
