I love to teach. I love science and math. I have found that I have a knack for explaining things. I am a good listener and I have a lots of patience. I have taught varied age groups ranging from elementary to graduate level. I also feel that I am a very good mentor. I have been through and understand the application system for college, medical, and graduates schools (including international schools.) I have mentored and continue to mentor several students, especially pre-med students. So far, 100% of my students have gained admission to medical school. I have several years of experience mentoring and tutoring and I am confident that success will not elude us. You will not regret using me as a tutor.

I am currently a high school teacher at a private school in Edmond OK. My goal in my classroom and with the students I tutor is to help every student master their subject matter in the quickest / most efficient way possible. As educators, it doesn't make sense to give a student a fish but rather to teach them to fish for themselves. For this reason, I believe there are two types of students: those who make excuses and those who find a way. I believe in the power of determination and a hard work ethic. Failure is not permanent but merely a stop on the way to success and I believe that this applies to any educational endeavor.

I have eight years of experience teaching and tutoring Science, Math, and English to students ranging from middle school to college.I graduated with my PhD in Molecular Biology/Microbiology in 2020 from Wayne State University. During my graduate studies I taught undergraduate Introductory Biology Labs. I also served as a lead lecturer for Microbiology for one semester.Prior to graduate school, I received my BSc in Biology from University of Michigan, Dearborn in 2014. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored peers primarily in Biology and English courses. I also taught swim lessons to children of all ages for 5 years.I have worked with several ESL students, especially in English, Reading, and Writing. I also worked extensively with a peer who was visually impaired, which allowed me to come up with creative teaching strategies, such as building a cardboard model of a cell instead of looking at a cell through a microscope. I am a rising Junior at Princeton University who is passionate about the ways in which people learn, which has led me to pursue a degree in Neuropsychology. Through great experiences teaching English in Chiangmai, Thailand for two months and tutoring Calculus I and II through Princeton University's McGraw Tutoring program for two years, I have come across many learning styles and have developed a love for teaching. My strengths include standardized testing, Spanish, Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) and ACT/SAT/CLEP prep. I have experience working with students who are in grades K-College.

I have been tutoring for 20+ years to students that are in public, private and homeschooled. All subjects, levels and grades taught including test preps and beyond college. I will find different techniques and methods to help students learn their work, as not all students learn the same. I am available most days and times and also tend to assist students on days they do not have a session scheduled if they are struggling with homework etc. My main focus is the student and their success, so whatever it takes!

I received my Bachelor of Science as a Biology and Spanish double major at Temple University, where I will continue for dental school starting in the Fall of 2022! My dedication to studying and teaching Biology and Spanish comes from recognizing a need for more Spanish-speaking healthcare providers. Some of the various experiences I have include: performing scientific research, interning at a health clinic that caters to native Spanish-speakers, and living with a host-family during my study abroad in Spain. None of these impactful opportunities would have been possible without guidance from my past teachers. So, I enjoy returning the favor to my students in two subjects that I am extremely passionate about. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, working out, watching the Philadelphia 76ers, and traveling to explore what our world has to offer.

I have over 6 years of tutoring experience with students of all ages! I graduated from high school as the Class Valedictorian in 2016, and then within 2 years I completed a Bachelors in Neuroscience from the Ohio State University. Currently, I'm pursuing a Masters in Pharmacology, and working at the NIH researching pre-eclampsia and preterm birth. I aim to apply to MD-PhD programs this year, and specialize in Perinatology and Neonatology!I have always grown up in an environment that appreciates and encourages learning, and I love helping others achieve their academic goals! I have a lot of experience with AP classes, and I took over 15 courses and received college credit for ALL of them! I also have a lot of experience with tutoring students in elementary school, and middle school. I am able to adapt to all learning styles, and would love to have the opportunity to mentor even more students.

Shortly after separating, I attended and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program at Columbia University. I plan on completing a Master's in Nutrition at Columbia as well, and begin medical school shortly thereafter.I have been involved in various research experiments, and find that I have a true passion for the sciences.In my personal time, I enjoy exercising regularly, hot yoga, reading, writing, personal development, traveling, and volunteering.Thank you for your time in reading this and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
