I'm a West Point graduate and current Graduate Student at Georgia Tech studying Computer Science. I'm a Captain in the US Army and a Network Engineer focused in Cyber-security. I've volunteered as a tutor for refugee students, mainly teaching math and sciences. My strength as a tutor are patience and creating an enjoyable learning environment for students. I am most passionate about computer programming, cybersecurity and computer networks. Outside of school and work I play and watch a lot of sports and remain active in my free time.

I am a software engineer during the day and love everything having to do with math, science, and computer science. My reason for wanting to become a tutor outside of my day job is to help educate the minds of the future. Learning outside of the classroom is very important. Studying Applied Mathematics at Texas A&M. I wish to help benefit society in a way that only someone with my skills would be able to. Currently, I believe educating those who wish to seek higher education is the most effective way to do so.

I am a law student seeking to help fund my living expenses while I go to school. Before I entered law school, while I was getting my master's degree, I tutored a variety of high school subjects and the SAT and ACT. I enjoy tutoring immensely, and after nearly eight years of doing it, I have developed a repertoire of tricks that help my students learn more easily. I particularly enjoy tutoring high school math and physics, Spanish, and literature, but I have experience in most subjects. I know many, many words :-)

I attended Birmingham-Southern College for my undergraduate studies, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After working for two years, I attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, earning a Ph.D in Genes and Development. My studies there were focused on Immunology, Cancer and Genetics. Since graduation, I have worked in the biotech industry, lectured in Microbiology and am currently doing research on vaccine development.I enjoy one on one teaching, and just discussing science in general. It's always a thrill when the light goes on for someone. I am a follower of all fields of science and technology, and try to incorporate new ideas into my work at all times. In my spare time, I build computers, read history and science fiction and go to movies with my wife.

Following graduation, I joined Austin Community College as an adult education instructor for GED and ESL students. In addition to adult students, I also provide tutoring to children and teens needing the necessary fundamentals for academic progress, or those seeking to proactively increase their understanding of a particular subject. Although I teach the four core subjects in the classroom, I primarily tutor in the areas of Math and Reading Language Arts. I especially enjoy teaching Math because I deliver the subject content in a manner that students are frequently amazed at their ability to grasp what they previously believed to be difficult mathematical concepts.
