Certified Tutor

I have a Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University, M.A. degrees in Politics and the Social Sciences from Brandeis University and the University of Chicago, respectively, and a B.A. in Political Science from Kenyon College.

In addition to my work as a tutor, my teaching experience includes three years as a Teaching Fellow at Brandeis University, where I taught discussion sections, advised and graded student research and exams, and assisted with course design for undergraduate political science classes.

I have also worked in positions ranging from political advocacy to statistical research for professional and collegiate sports teams. Most recently, I led research projects on constitutional design and judicial independence for the current dean of the law school at the University of Washington in St. Louis.

My approach to tutoring is to meet students where they are whenever possible. Whereas one-on-one settings permit individualized lesson plans tailored to students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences, classroom settings often require a more standardized approach. Regardless of setting, I emphasize positive reinforcement from the onset, with the belief that confidence from initial gains provides the foundation for exponential growth thereafter.
