Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of Stanford University, with a BA in Theater and Performance Studies and a minor in Human Biology. I am a professional, produced playwright and writing is one of the things I know best, aside from tests. I have always had a passion for helping others with whatever I can. I discovered formal tutoring at Stanford, where I was employed as an Oral Communication Tutor at their Hume Center for Writing and Speaking. There I learned strategies for personalizing tutoring, crafting arguments and more.

I especially love to tutor reading/English, writing, and speaking. I've tutored rhetorical speaking and writing for years, before branching out to standardized tests in June 2019.

I also have experience and skill in testing strategies. I love helping figure out what strategies work for each person to write an academic paper, based on their own style. For testing, I am especially familiar with the ACT.

Before Stanford, I went to Logan High School, a medium (1800 person) public school in Logan, UT. Outside of tutoring, I'm passionate about the theater. I write plays and poems. I also direct plays, act and work behind the scenes. I play the viola sometimes and go on walks with my golden retriever.
