Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Radford University, receiving degrees in Anthropology and Biological Sciences. During my undergraduate career, I tutored students through the university's student resource center, high school students through various outreach programs, and served as a teaching assistant for several courses. After graduation, I enrolled at the College of William & Mary to pursue a M.A. in Historical Archaeology. During graduate school, I served as a teaching assistant for several undergraduate classes, including introductory and advanced courses. Later, I completed my post-baccalaureate work at Temple University, completing courses in Biology, Chemistry (general and organic), and Physics. Although I tutor a wide variety of subjects, I specialize in science courses (Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science), various humanities (History, Sociology, Psychology), and writing (general writing skills, GRE and SAT writing). I believe strongly that an education is one of the most important endeavors a person can pursue in his/her lifetime and work hard to convey that importance to my students but also work to be interactive and creative in the presentation of course material. In my spare time, I enjoy running, writing, reading, and various sports.
