I am proud to say that the eleven-year-old Vietnamese girl and boy that I tutored for 5 years are both attending Medical school. In addition, I am proud to say that I speak, write and read in French, English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Italian proficiently. Whenever I tell people that I speak French, they often assume that it is not my mother tongue language because I have no accent in English. I am always proud to say that I did not know how to speak English until I was 16 years of age. Learning a language is like cracking a secret code. Once you decode it, the treasure is yours.

I am Martina Zandonella, I am Italian and I have lived in the USA since 2013. Before moving here I have studied in top British Universities and worked in private and public schools the UK. With a Post Graduate Degree in Secondary Education, Languages, I have acquired the pedagogical knowledge of teaching, on top of my prior experience in schools. I am passionate about languages because they open may doors in the worlds and allow better communication, essential in every field. I particularly enjoy teaching Italian, my mother tongue, and Spanish. I tailor-make the lessons to better fit my students and I use variety of techniques including visual, auditory and kinesthetic (movement). I believe each students need to find their most successful learning methods, they need to learn by doing and they should have fun in order to achieve the best results.

I am an adjunct instructor/professor of business, marketing, and management with 27 years of college and university teaching experience. Furthermore, I have taught in other countries such as Russia, and I go back and forth to France, which is my origin. Subsequently, I hold four Masters degrees which include an MBA in Management from Long Island University, Masters of Liberal Studies with a concentration in History and Political Science from StonyBrook University, an EdM in Education Administration from Columbia University, and an MLS in Library Science from St John's University. I completed my PhD in Management at Walden University.

I am a rising Senior currently studying neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. Science and particularly the inner workings of the brain have been a passion of mine from a very young age, where I remember candidly telling my mother that I would be a neurosurgeon one day.

With over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry and international business, I am a corporate director skilled in merchandising, marketing, accounting, and negotiation. Through extensive worldwide travel, I am fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. I graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor's in International Marketing and Business. , My career has taken me around the world to develop and create footwear and consumer products for major brands. Passionate about education, I began teaching marketing, product development, accounting, economics, French and Italian in classrooms environment and online. I have continued tutoring and teaching in California to share my knowledge for students as well as industry events. In my spare time, you can find me at the gym, going for a beach run, spinning, or cooking up something delicious. I am a Stanford student from Maryland studying Political Science and Computer Science. I graduated from high school in 2015, where I was active as the captain of my high school sailing team, a section leader in the orchestra, and part of the STEM magnet program Project Lead the Way. I am currently taking some time off from school to be around family here in Massachusetts and while I will be taking a few classes, I have plenty of time and lots of flexibility. I am excited to work with middle and high school students in math, reading and writing, social studies, and computer science. In addition to taking classes and tutoring this fall I will be volunteering in after school programs with low income middle and elementary school students.

I am also fluent in Italian; and have extensive advanced fluency in French and German. I picked up my language skills while working and traveling to over 65 countries. My extensive linguistics knowledge coupled with my teaching experience allows me to help students struggling with learning Spanish; or writing college essays, term papers, dissertations or articles for publication; or organization skills to improve academic performance. Because of my varied travel experience I find it easy to adjust to students experiences and learning gaps in order to show them how to utilize the knowledge they already have and build on that knowledge in order to attain greater skills.

I am a caring, laid-back individual who is passionate about languages and teaching. My aim is to make you succeed whilst encouraging you as much as possible. I am patient, positive and open minded. My teaching is flexible and will be based on your requirements and preference.
