I graduated from the University of Richmond majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Analytics and a minor in Mathematics. I have worked with kids of all ages, ranging from elementary school to college students through various subjects. I have also worked extensively with special needs children, doing everything from teaching special education to one-on-one in-home mentoring. Through my experiences, I have continued to carry my passion for working with children and have developed my skills in making successful and individualized learning fun. Math, science and test prep are the subjects I'm particularly passionate about tutoring, as I've always loved those subjects myself. I am currently a sophomore at New York University studying Mathematics. Math and science have always fascinated me due to their application towards everyday technology. Along with economics, these are my favorite subjects to tutor because they involve concrete answers deeply rooted in logic. As a tutor, I strive to help students better understand complex problems and develop problem-solving skills. This mindset is obviously crucial for tests, but it also helps students develop analytical techniques that can benefit them in innumerable ways. Outside academics, I enjoy reading about current affairs, weight lifting, and of course, watching Netflix.

While at my undergrad, I often worked with elementary and middle school students, teaching basic science concepts and attempting to inspire and interest in all types of science and learning. I achieved my Master of Science degree in Geosciences with a concentration in Paleontology from East Tennessee State University. My research focused on Ice Age mammoth dynamics and paleobiological patterns. After my Master's I worked with the National Park Service in Alaska backpacking across remote national parks including Katmai, Bering Land Bridge, and Kobuk Valley completing field work and reports for the park service. I tutor a wide variety of subjects and am most passionate about natural sciences, math, and ArcGIS. I've always enjoyed prepping for standardized tests (ACT, GRE) and hope to help all my students reach score beyond their targets. Language and culture is a big part of my life both professionally and personally. My articles in mandarin have been published in multiple newspapers and magazines when I was studying in China. Chinese literature and history have always been my greatest passion. I want to help everyone really understand the Chinese culture and learn to use this beautiful language to express themselves whenever they are traveling, studying, doing business with Chinese. I am really good at other subjects too, I passed the GMAT exam with 99% math/quantitative section. Math has always been one of strongest academic subject too. Tutoring is a great responsibility, further to me it can also be one of life's most rewarding experiences. I am naturally attracted to different cultures and love to share mine with everyone.
