"Went through reading, math, and science sections. Began with mathematics section before moving into the reading. We went through some of the past questions she had completed and then looked at problems that she had some trouble with. I explained solutions to some problems that she wasn't sure how to approach and talked about ways to look at problems so that you could see the right answers. Additionally explained basic trigonometry that might be asked on the ACT (relations of radians to degrees and the valuation of sinusoidal functions using the unit circle); these were topics that she had not yet covered in school so were unfamiliar to her. We then went into the reading section, covering one of the passages. We reviewed methods for reading effectively and approaching questions so as to be able to find the right answer. Worked on noticing the correct answer by first crossing out the known bad answers, then looking for faults in the "possible" answers. Finally we went through a couple questions on the science section reviewing graphs and the analysis of such."
