I earned a B.S. Business Administration from the University of Southern California. I'm now pursuing a J.D. at NYU Law. I have tutored professionally and privately for four years now. Specifically, I tutor Math, English, History, Spanish, French, the SAT, and the LSAT. My favorite subject to teach is French because it is such a unique and interesting language, and it keeps me in practice.I teach my students by starting with the fundamentals and working my way up. This makes it easier for my students to remember what they have learned throughout the semester/year, and it helps them pick up new concepts quickly. When I am not studying or tutoring, I love to read, exercise, and explore. My favorite author is Stephen King, my favorite sports are basketball and snowboarding, and my favorite food is popcorn! I just recently moved to Manhattan, so I venture out into different parts of the city in my free time. So far, I have run into comedians, actors, and many more interesting people.

I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University with my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Accounting. Shortly after graduation, I obtained my CPA License in the State of Texas (Certified Public Accounting). I have an immense amount of experience with working with accounting concepts, standards, and financial statements. I love to share with anyone the best practices and methods to understanding one of the least liked subjects.Although I am an accountant by day, my love and passion is for writing, reading, and comprehension. After being published at the age of 10, I knew that I truly have a talent in writing. Shortly after, throughout middle school, high school, and college, I found an interest in helping my other peers with mechanics, comprehension, creativity, diction, and syntax. All in all, I have a zealous and fun-loving personality and one of my strengths is being able to connect and engage with my students! I like to think of creative techniques to engage my students and attempt to make learning fun. I am well versed in many subjects, and look forward to sharing with you!

Hello! My name is Megan and I'm a CPA living and working in Chicago. I graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis in 2010, and I've been working in corporate accounting ever since.I started tutoring so I could help students better learn corporate finance and accounting concepts for themselves, and hopefully spread the finance love. Well, at least help them feel more comfortable and confident with the material. Have a solid understanding of these business concepts opens up so many opportunities in any career path. With over 10 years of accounting experience, I hope I can help you master these concepts too!

I am a current student at the University of Arizona Eller College of Management. I will receive my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance in May of 2014. I have experience tutoring middle school students in various subjects after school. I also have experience tutoring a group of high school students in math, specifically Pre-Calculus and Calculus, and helping other students with various math subjects ranging from Algebra to Advanced Algebra. While I have experience tutoring in mathematics, English, and the ACT and SAT test preparation, math is definitely my passion. I believe that a strong basis in math will benefit any and every student and allow them to understand not only math subjects, but will allow the student to understand other subjects better as well. It is my belief that mathematics is not just based on repetition and memorization, but on a way of thinking that all students should embrace. My goal is to help students understand the problems they are trying to solve and to promote a critical thinking environment so the student can not only solve a given problem, but any problem they encounter that is similar to it. I am very vocal and will try to mold my tutoring style to each student's personal needs. Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading, working out, and mountain biking. I especially enjoy professional and college football and basketball as well.

I am wildly passionate about learning and always look to find ways for my students to enjoy learning as well. So many doors are opened when you open your mind to learning. Helping students to get excited about learning is vital to their success and everyone learns differently.I earned my Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Utah University and my Masters in Accounting from Southern Utah University. After working in public accounting for years, I found that I truly love it and love helping others break it down and understand all of the different aspects of financial accounting, I truly enjoy working with students in middle school and high school in a variety of subjects.I believe that part of our education is learning how to learn and finding creative ways to meet each individual's needs. I specifically have experience with students with ADHD. I myself was diagnosed with ADHD as a sophomore in college.I have a very interactive approach to tutoring and ask a lot of my students. The more involved they are in the learning process, the more confidence they gain, which leads to a lot more learning than listening to a lecture.

I graduated from Loyola with a BBA Finance in 2010 and a BS in Physics in 2012.I currently split my time between the city (Lakeview/Lincoln Park in Chicago) and the west suburbs (Addison, IL).When I am tutoring a student, I look to make a problem applicable to the student's experiences. I look to show them the parallels between things they are familiar with and the problem in question.Seeing a student's realization that they can solve a problem brings me satisfaction. In my free time, I enjoy computer programming, plane spotting, reading, 3d modeling, Aviation, playing basketball and soccer, and DJ'ing.
