I am a very sharp math student currently getting a degree in Computer Science, loved algebra and got close to perfect scores on all tests. I give examples and make the student teach me when they have fully learned the material... Practice makes perfect. Students should get involved with learning the specific math problems and do examples rather than listen and take notes.
