I met with two students during this session. This session was primarily to learn a little about them, what they are covering in class, how they learn, what they have trouble with to formulate a plan for the coming sessions. I met with the first student; He is an energetic 6th grader very eager to learn! We went over what he was learning in each subject and some of the math work he has been working on recently. He asked me to bring practice problems next time and I plan to bring an assortment of problems to gauge where he is with math. The second student is a quiet 7th grade student who really enjoys Language Arts/English/Reading. She asked for help with math and is currently learning how to divide complex fractions. This is a difficult concept, so we went over some practice problems together. I showed her a new way to work through the problems and plan to bring some practice work with me next time so she can continue practicing this new method.

The biggest struggle for the chapter was keeping the different equations and closely related concepts straight. One suggestion in terms of note taking was to use the equations in the chapter as a framework to organize the rest of the notes around.
