I believe that everyone learns differently. So it makes sense that a one size fits all approach to teaching is problematic. People can fall behind or may not preform to their full potential if they do not have access to individual attention, and programs tailored to their needs and talents. That is the service that I aim to provide. I enjoy working with students, and enjoy not only helping you learn, but succeed!

Why should I sign up to work with a Chicago USMLE tutor near me?
The United States Medical Licensing Exams, or USMLE, is a series of tests that are taken by individuals who are currently in medical school. You may already be preparing for the first USMLE test if you're a student at the University of Illinois College of Medicine or another nearby school. In all, there are a total of three different USMLE tests that you'll need to pass. These are important exams because you have to pass all of them before you can earn a license to practice medicine in the United States. Chicago USMLE tutoring can help you develop the knowledge and skills that you'll need before you can successfully complete each test in the series.
USMLE tests are called Steps. Step 1 is typically the first exam that students take, although you have the choice of taking Step 2 first if you wish to do so. The Step 1 exam focuses on some of the most important scientific subject areas that you need to have a solid understanding of in order to successfully practice medicine. It consists of 280 multiple-choice questions that are divided into seven different 60-minute test blocks. This is one of the most important tests in the USMLE series because the score that you earn on it can significantly impact which residency programs you get accepted into. Therefore, if you do well on the Step 1 exam, you may have a better chance of getting into your top choice.
Next, you'll likely take the Step 2 exam. This test has two parts, which are called Clinical Knowledge and Clinical Skills, respectively. When taking the Clinical Knowledge portion of Step 2, you'll be tasked with showing your knowledge of many important scientific and medical topics. You'll do this by answering the section's 316 multiple-choice questions. On the Clinical Skills section, you'll be tasked with completing 12 different patient cases. Each patient case will give you 15 minutes for a patient encounter and then another ten minutes for note-taking on the patient scenario that you're presented with. Chicago USMLE tutors can help you develop the skills that you need to feel confident completing both portions of the Step 2 exams.
Lastly, you'll need to complete the Step 3 exam within a seven-year period from the time that you pass your first Step. As the final test in the USMLE series, Step 3 focuses on assessing whether or not you have the skills and knowledge base that you need to practice medicine in an unsupervised setting. It consists of a number of multiple-choice questions and thirteen computer-based case simulations.
There are a number of different topics that you'll want to study as you get ready for each of these exams. Your Chicago USMLE tutor can help you build your understanding of all of them. For example, they can assist you with topics within the subject area of behavioral health and social sciences. Your instructor can also help you learn more about the nervous system and the respiratory system, among other things. You'll work with your educator in a one-on-one setting, which means that the specific topics that they focus on can vary based on your personalized academic needs.
We understand that you're likely already very busy with your school schedule as well as your extracurricular activities. That's why when you reach out to us we'll do all that we can to connect you with Chicago USMLE tutors who are able to work with you at times that fit with your availability. This makes it easy to get the test preparation assistance that you've been looking for without having to make too many sacrifices to get it.
You'll meet with your instructor on our Live Learning Platform. This means that your Chicago USMLE tutoring sessions will be conducted entirely online. This adds to the flexibility of the learning tool. While meeting online with your instructor, you can utilize our platform's many sophisticated academic tools. For example, you'll be able to communicate with your educator through integrated video chat and interact with them through the power of a virtual whiteboard. These tools ensure that you get all of the benefits that you would through in-person instruction in a more convenient online setting.
There are other benefits that you can get out of working with your instructor online. Specifically, you won't have to worry about commuting to and from a physical location for each meeting. Instead, you'll be free to work with your educator from anywhere that you have a steady internet connection. This can unlock more time in your schedule that you can devote to preparing for your upcoming USMLE exam if you wish. Online instruction also enables us to connect you with some of the most experienced instructors in the country instead of only the best ones in your local area. Therefore, you can learn from a national expert when you sign up to work with a private USMLE test preparation instructor.
Your instructor can use the intimate academic setting that Chicago USMLE tutoring takes place in to create a lesson plan that is customized with your growth in mind. Your needs will be your educator's top priority throughout the entirety of your time together. They can focus on the topics and skills that you need the most assistance with. You can work through each topic that your instructor covers at the pace that works best for you. You can even stop to ask them for additional guidance whenever you encounter a particularly challenging subject area. This type of personalization is key to what makes this such an effective test preparation supplement.
