Tutoring review by Samia in Rye, NY
The student and I met today to review for her final exam on Tuesday. Her teacher has provided an extensive amount of practice problems to prepare for the exam. We were able to get through about half today. I want her to practice as much as possible between today and Tuesday. I am trying to give her positive reinforcement and constructive remarks to help her. We will do as much as we can before the exam. Best wishes!

We began the session by discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the student.  The parent and I then discussed her hopes for our tutoring sessions.  I then administered word lists and passages.  I look forward to getting to know the student further.

Tutoring review by Amelia in Rye, NY
We worked on the student's paper, primarily finding citations and writing footnotes. However, we also worked on content a bit, making sure the paper made sense and flowed. We then worked on Spanish; first we reviewed participles in future, past, etc.; then he did his homework for the next day. Finally we started to do his homework for 3/28 and looked over the vocabulary from the book for his exam 3/29.

Tutoring review by Paul in Rye, NY
The student is primarily looking to get math help, so I started things with the intent of gauging where he is with regard to math ability.  We checked out a book at the library and I watched him work through a few example problems seeing where we should focus ourselves for the upcoming weeks.  I currently plan to focus the next few sessions on algebra, other essential skills to solving test problems, and then move on to general test strategies and time management.
