I have always found science to be interesting and a compelling field of study, especially as it relates to the human body and condition. Sonography became available for clinical use a few years later and I began training in that imaging modality as well.Throughout the years I worked at various clinical settings, hospitals, clinics, private medical offices. Each of these locations hosted diagnostic imaging students and throughout the years I was happy to mentor these students. I was happy to share my knowledge and experience with them to guide them on their way to becoming successful technologists.Later, I enrolled in the University of Hartford and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Advanced Medical Imaging. I then began teaching in the Radiography and Sonography programs at this institution, as well as Manchester Community College.I am passionate about helping students learn, not memorize, content so that they become true health professionals. I enjoy sharing my experience with students new to the field of Sonography and I take pride in teaching them to become knowledgeable and competent technologists, guiding them on their way to a rewarding career.

There I learned to operate, maintain, and repair advanced electronic systems such as radio, radar, computers and cryptographic machines. Later during this period of my life, I went to school to learn Nuclear Power Plant Operation for nuclear submarines. While serving aboard various submarines, I took college courses through the University of Hawaii and the University of California. I also spent a great deal of time reading literary classics, as well as books on history, science, music and art. This reading allowed me to successfully complete the entire CLEP examination with scores in the top 10%.Following my discharge, I earned licenses and certifications from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as both an Operator and Senior Operator on several different types of nuclear units. Based on my previous work, training and college classes, I was awarded a Baccalaureate in Nuclear Engineering Technology in 1988 from Charter Oak College. l also attended college classes at the University of New Haven during this time, earning a Baccalaureate in Electrical Engineering in 1989 with a minor in Mathematics. I also have taken advanced graduate course in Business Administration and Regulatory Law as well as having successfully completed the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT exams.Starting in 1981, I provided training to selected individuals to prepare them for their Nuclear Regulatory Operator Examination.
