I am a student at Saint Louis University working towards degrees in Political Science and Theological Studies, with strong focuses on Education and Philosophy. I bring vibrancy, authenticity, and directness to tutoring sessions. I have worked with my college peers to develop creative writing, critical thinking, and public speaking skills, particularly as they apply for graduate school. After my graduation I went on to teach 4-5th grade for seven years.During the course of those years I worked with students in many exciting clubs. I led a team of students in LEGO Robotics Club, taught using Minecraft in the classroom, and helped my school organize computer programming classes for students 4-8th grade. If you can't tell already, I love technology and it's uses in the classroom! Recently, I moved across country to Washington, which has opened up some time for me to be available for tutoring. I plan on tutoring while awaiting a full time teaching position. Through my experience teaching, I have extensive knowledge about what is required from each student in each state. I also have tons of experience working with Common Core Standards and translating them into something that easily makes sense to students.When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy playing computer games of all kinds. I also love reading, and spending time indoors where it is warm and not snowing. Occasionally I'll play basketball or soccer, but that doesn't usually last long because I am terrible at both.

I received my degree in Special Education and Elementary Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I moved down to Maryland from Pennsylvania three years ago and I love it! I am currently a Special Education teacher at at an elementary school in Prince Georges County. I am a graduate of Saint Joesph's university with a bachelor's in Biology. After graduation I worked as a lab technician at the Center for Translational Medicine at Jefferson University where my research focused on the underlying molecular mechanisms of asthma and COPD. Other areas on interested included the molecular mechanisms of food allergy and cannabis allergy. My work has been published in the Journal of Allergy and Immunology in Practice as well as American Journal of Physiology-Lung Cellular and Molecular Physiology. Recently I have completed my first year of medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University. My most recent work focuses on the physiological conditions that increase susceptibility to COVID-19 infections. Some of my academic interests include smooth muscle physiology, exercise physiology, lung physiology, the immune system and cannabis allergy. When not working or studying I volunteer at the Delta Health Institute, which provides much needed health screenings for underserved populations in the Delta region, and NYIT COM's after school program, which teaches basic science and anatomy to school aged children. My passion has always been learning about medicine and I love to help other passionate students discover their own interests. I also enjoy golf, basketball, and weightlifting.
