Tutoring review by Vincent in Germantown, WI
Today, the student had a review over an upcoming test in financial math. The review had less to do with math itself and more with understanding how accounts and credit worked. She was familiar with most of the material, and I was able to assist her with the rest. We went over the material a second time, and she was able to answer questions I posed to her. With our remaining time, we looked over a reading assignment she had in science over space exploration, and I answered any questions she had over the text.

Tutoring review by Daniel in Germantown, WI
The student only had a few questions about the material so far. She had a few questions about how limits worked; after a few examples she was very comfortable with it. We also practiced using composition of functions and how to graph them. We went through the syllabus and worked a few practice problems on each topic. She seems to have a very good understanding of algebra and is doing fine with the topics introduced so far like transformations of parent functions and finding maxima. She thinks that the class will quickly become more challenging, and she wants to meet again whenever she feels that she could use extra help.

Tutoring review by Rachel in Germantown, WI
Today we focused on probability. I am extremely pleased with how quickly her problem solving ability is improving. In particular, today she struggled through the first problem with my help, but was then able to do the second problem, which was a harder version of problem #1, with significantly less support from me. The key to her success will be to do as many problems as she can in between our sessions. The more repetition, the more she will solidify her understanding of probability!
