Azela Gonzalez Ernst, a certified educator in Wisconsin with a Master's in Bilingual Education from Edgewood College, is passionate about fostering a love for learning in her students. With over 3 years of experience teaching in K-12 settings, including a dual language immersion program, I specialize in Elementary School Math and Spanish, focusing on foundational skills in reading and writing. My teaching philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach, making learning engaging and fun while tailoring instruction to meet individual needs. I have been in education for over 10 years and am a passionate and dedicated teacher. I have a degree in elementary and middle education, with a minor in science. I have taught at all levels and really enjoy creating new connections with students to help them to enjoy the learning process!

Living in Madison Wisconsin has surrounded my in an academic environment. Even before graduating Edgewood college with a major in web design and a minor in economics, I became enrolled in my first tutoring program. In the fall of 2021, I taught my first class as a coding instructor. I continue to both educate myself and others, and find joy in helping others to unlock the secrets of knowledge and personal discovery. To me, teaching is all about encouraging a fun and passionate environment. Students should want to be taught, rather than approaching tutoring as a means to an end, such as studying for a final. Whenever students are engaged, they echo off to other students, encouraging a fun and engaging environment to all involved. By providing a strong environment, I hope to achieve greatness with others.

I enjoy working with students of all ages. Currently I am a Director of a daycare and am interested in working one-on-one with older students. I am a certified teacher for ages 10-21 in the subjects History/Social Studies/ELL. I have worked in Middle and High Schools in the Madison area. I also taught English in Taiwan, working with Pre-K-Elementary School age children.I love to learn as I have been taking college level courses for over a decade. I was highly influenced by a high school teacher that believed in me. My goal working in education is to make that change in a student's educational journey by believing in them.I have recently begun hiking the Ice Age Trail which totals over 100 miles. It may take a while to complete, but the outdoor activity is amazing year-round. I am completing my second Bachelor's Degree as well. When I have any spare time I find myself reading and spending time with my family.

I am a chiropractor who enjoys tutoring and working with young students. I am a graduate of Edgewood College and Palmer College of Chiropractic. I love to play soccer, run and watch almost any sport. When not working I can often be found watching sports or playing soccer. While working with students my goal is to help them reach the goals they have set for themselves. I help them achieve these goals by tailoring my teaching/tutoring styles to best fit their learning style. Everyone learns and retains information differently and I strive to find out how each of my students learns the best and implement that into my sessions. At the end of the day my goal is to make learning fun and for my students to learn and feel good about themselves. I tutor biology, anatomy, general science, microbiology, biochemistry, math and reading.

I am a tutor and a teacher in the making with a strong and enthusiastic passion for education and educational growth. I believe that every student has their own unique strengths, challenges and learning styles and I love building relationships with students so that we can find strategies together that accommodate strengths but work through the challenges. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently attend Edgewood College, a smaller and private University in Madison, WI where I am working towards my English Licensure in Secondary Education (Grades 7-12). Although I would like to ultimately teach in a middle or high school, I have a background in tutoring students as early as Kindergarten. I volunteered in a local community center and tutored Elementary aged international students in different subjects, from math to reading and writing. I have spent a lot of time volunteering in local middle schools in different literacy and reading classes, helping students to read, write and analyze texts at different grade levels and knowledge levels. Through my undergraduate career I took several writing courses and a grammar course which included a lot of proofreading, editing and discussing writing strategies. Through my different tutoring experiences I have come across many different students, all with their own personal goals and academic levels. My goal as a tutor is to morph my teaching style to work with any student in a way that works best for them, no matter what challenge they're facing or where they're at with their learning. I believe that tutoring is a collaborative effort based on communication and finding the tools and styles that work best with the students learning. Together, a student and I can build strategies and methods for their success and understanding so that they are in charge of their learning as much as I am. I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services. I received my Masters degree in Special Education from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. I have been teaching for the last 23 year in the public school system. The first 19 in Wisconsin and the last 4 in North Carolina. My family moved to North Carolina to escape the cold weather and snow! While I am able to tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Study Skills, Organization, and Math. I graduated from Edgewood College with a Master's degree in English as a Second Language Education and Dual Language Immersion Education after completing my Bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish Language. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and have extensive experience teaching at the elementary level in both languages. I also have experience educating adults seeking their GED in Spanish. I am passionate about working with students who come from multi-lingual backgrounds and I enjoy supporting them as they become more confident learners. In my spare time I enjoy spending time in nature with my two young children and husband, as well as baking and running.

I am a graduate of Edgewood College located in Madison Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor of Computer Science in January 2021. After graduation I further explored newer technologies at Nucamp to learn more about web development. I later on became a Java Instructor for another bootcamp called Camp Createability. This new opportunity allowed me to help students learn how to game design and use Java as a programming language. From there I built up successful projects on my own and collaborated with other developers. What makes me passionate about tutoring PHP, Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript is being able to bestow my knowledge in a simplified way that students can understand. Being there to support students with valuable feedback and resources aids them in becoming programmers.

I am currently a Graduate Student studying Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College. I have several years of tutoring experience, with an exceptional track record regarding student success. I am a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a degree in music. I spent 20 years performing in churches, teaching both voice and guitar. I have written over 100 songs and have led small and large bands. I also have a masters in missional theology, which I used to plant and lead churches over the past 20 years. While leading churches, I coached leaders of all ages to be better at what they do and accomplish their goals. During COVID, I returned to school and got my master's in education from Edgewood College and a teaching license. I have been teaching for the past 4 years in private schools in Wisconsin. I firmly believe that leaders and learners are not born. They are made. Education is the primary way that we grow as humans and become who we were made to be. I am passionate about seeing people learn and grow in their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a student learn something new.
