Work hard, play hard and good things will happen. You can't manage or improve if you don't measure something.

Learning is a journey, and one that really has no end. Sounds a little cliche, but it's true! I specialize in math, which is a subject that both challenges and excites. Math applies to everything and it's only stipulation is basic and irrefutable logic. Learning math occurs through a combination of instruction and participation. Instruction gives you direction and allows you to make the most out of your time spent studying, but ultimately it is participation in examples and critical thinking that will allow you to really master something. I love mathematical subject matter and I love helping people learn, so really this should be a great experience for everybody!
I am currently a dental hygiene instructor at Madison College, in Madison, Wisconsin. I received a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette University and a Master's degree in Adult Education from University of Wisconsin, Platteville. I am a Psychology and Math tutor, and I'm excited to tutor people of all ages and backgrounds. I will graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in May. I've been tutoring both Math and Psychology for two years, and I love to help people learn. My tutoring is student-focused, so my teaching style is whatever helps you learn best! My favorite part about tutoring is seeing students get excited about learning again.
I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Platteville and received a B.A. in History, Social Science and German as well as a teaching certification in Secondary Broad Field Social Studies.I've had experience working with a variety of ages and backgrounds. Assisting elementary students with homework at a multicultural center, tutoring peers in German and acting as a Teaching Assistant in a college World Civilization II course are a few ways I've helped others become successful academically. Some of my biggest learning experiences took place while studying in Germany and teaching in Ireland. Gaining cultural knowledge through traveling has taught me a lot about perspective and diversity which is important when working with students from all backgrounds. I find it is helpful to get to know a little about the student and their personality to better find an approach that works best for them in a way that also makes sense. While I can tutor a variety of subjects, I find History most interesting. In order to move forward in a positive way, we should know where we came from so we can build from events and concepts of our past.
