I am a retired elementary school teacher of 32 years. I taught kindergarten,first grade and elementary Spanish.I love teaching the young ones. It is so exciting to see them read and write for the first time. I take great pride in watching them read to other students and to me. I also feel that parents and teachers need to be partners in their child's education. It's important that we work as a team helping your child to succeed. My education journey started in 1976. I have a degree from Mount Mary University in Spanish and Behavioral Science. (1980) I also have a B.S from Carroll University in Elementary Ed. (1989) I have a Master's Degree from National Louis University in Curriculum. (2011) As of 2025,I am working as a Special Aide at a public school. I have been thee for four years. I love being back in school and with students again! My way to relax is reading and watching old movies. I also love to take walks. I am excited to meet and teach some awesome students! I am a very committed and dedicated tutor. I want to ensure that my students are doing the best that they possibly can to obtain the best grades and make the tutoring sessions as informative and as fun as possible. I want to make the learning process interesting and engaging for each student.
I am a current medical student at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. I recently graduated Drexel University with a master degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in Anatomy and Pathology. I completed my Undergraduate degrees at Mount Mary University, BS in Chemistry and BA in Spanish. After graduating undergrad I spent 6 months in Kyrgyzstan teaching college English. I enjoy tutoring English, math, Spanish, and science. I have experience with tutoring these subjects in students ages 5-26. My tutoring style is independently tailored to the student I am working with to make sure they are being challenged appropriately.
I believe everyone is capable of learning. I believe it is the job of the instructor to determine the learning style of individual students and with that figure out the best way to meet the individual needs of a student learners with the end goal being increased understanding and skills in a particular area. I enjoy crafting of all sorts. I scrapbook, sew, crochet, stamp and make my own cards. I love to read. I enjoy spending time with my family and love cats!
I love my job teaching students ages 3 to 10 years old. I am passionate about teaching children to read. I believe all children can learn, as an educator I believe I must find the way to teach them.
