Studying is important, but every now and then, you should take a break. Cambridge has many historic and natural locations that you will never tire of. Bird watchers will love the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge was originally established as a waterfowl sanctuary for migrating birds. It has since grown into a wildlife refuge for local species of flora and fauna. The Brackish Tidal Marshes of the area are perfect for local fish populations and plant species growth in this area.

Cambridge is known as a location along the Underground Railroad run by Harriet Tubman. In memorial to this amazing woman, the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center was constructed. The building tells the local history of the 19th century, the Civil War, and life after the Civil War. You can schedule a guided tour, or stroll through the museum at your own pace.

More local history can be found at the Spocott Windmill. The area has become a complex of buildings mimicking styles from the 1800s. The small village of buildings provides you with a peek at how daily life in the 1800s took place.

Tutoring review by Drake in Cambridge, MD
We went over a broad spectrum of topics for the student's exam tomorrow. We started by going over limits, then we talked about optimization. We ended by talking about implicit differentiation. She seemed to have a good grasp on most concepts and sometimes just needed a little nudge in the right direction.

Tutoring review by Cameron in Cambridge, MD
On Tuesday I worked with Student A and we worked on graphing tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant functions. These can be very tricky, but he did a very nice job. We also have to find the domain and range as well as the vertical asymptotes. Again, he did a great job. On Thursday I worked with Student B and we worked on factoring shortly, but spent the majority of our time graphing functions by creating a table of values. We then had to answer questions regarding where the zeros were and the max and mins. These are also tough concepts for students to get, but some visual aids I showed her helped her to understand these. She seemed to get them by the end of the session. When we were factoring a light bulb also seemed to go off.
