I am a bilingual school-based speech-language pathologist in Milwaukee. I have been working in the schools for over 4 years supporting Spanish speaking students with communication disorders. I completed my Master's in speech-language pathology from Marquette University in 2016. I have also tutored students of all grade levels in Spanish, math, reading and writing for over 8 years, and enjoy supporting learners so they can be successful at school and work towards their goals for the future. I work on a daily basis to support English language learners and students with special needs, and have tutored students from many diverse backgrounds. My approach to tutoring is identifying each individual's strengths and skills, and teaching specific strategies so the student can feel empowered to support their own learning. I am patient, thorough, and receptive to how each student learns best.

I am a graduate of the University of Delaware. I received my Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering degree and obtained minors in Mathematics, Economics, and Biomedical Engineering. Since graduation I've worked for a large diversified manufacturing company in one of their leadership rotational programs. Over the past 2 years I've moved from Hartford, CT to Charlotte, NC and currently reside in Milwaukee, WI. During this time I've been active in the local communities, volunteering up to 10 hours per week. Much of my volunteer work has been focused on helping adult learners in Math and English as they progressed towards obtaining their GED and also helping young learners in the same subjects. I am a strong believer in not only learning the material at hand, but also developing a study strategy that will ensure long term success, regardless of the subject.
I am looking forward to meeting you at our first session.
I am a math enthusiast who is passionate about helping students gain confidence and achieve. I began tutoring other students in middle school and continued throughout high school. I believe all students have the potential to understand math, but they can be intimated or have trouble finding the learning method that works for them. With my extensive experience tutoring students of various age groups through different mediums, I have seen how my emphasis on building a strong foundation and understanding how concepts/formulas work, patience, and encouragement helped students see math in an approachable manner. I participated and scored well in various math competitions throughout high school. Additionally, I am experienced in high school standardized test preparation. I am also a native Mandarin speaker.
I'm now living in New York City pursuing a career in casting and producing theater. Although I have found my passion in the arts, I find great fulfillment tutoring math and science, because I think it's important for students to know they can succeed in these challenging subjects. I seek to develop an individual learning plan for each student, discovering the tools that will best help them succeed. My previous private tutoring clients have gone on to graduate at the top of their class. In addition, I am also an experienced SAT and ACT prep tutor.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I received Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and Linguistics. I have been able to pursue my passion for languages and literature in my career as well as my studies. I have taught English as a second language, critical reading, grammar, and academic and professional writing to students of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels, including incoming university students, business professionals in South Korea, and fifth and sixth graders in south side Chicago. I am especially excited when I get to help students work on their writing skills, and the breakthroughs my students have had in learning to express their own unique voices and perspectives clearly and articulately are some of our favorite teaching moments.
I am currently working on my doctorate in Environment and Resources at Wisconsin-Madison, studying tiger ecology and conservation with sub-field foci on predator ecology, and modeling population dynamics.
I am a current sophomore at Brown University, where I study Applied Math and Urban Studies. I have tutored in a high school ESL classroom, as a private tutor, in a local community center, and on online platforms. I love tutoring all subjects, and I'm especially passionate about teaching math. As a tutor, I work to meet each student where they're at by helping them find connections between existing knowledge and new subjects. I believe every student can find passion, motivation, and empowerment in education, and I love helping students develop the knowledge and skills to get there.
I am currently a first-year Master's student at the Yale School of Public Health. I received my Bachelor's in biology at UCLA. As a Californian, I enjoy sunny weather and eating avocados.
I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Materials Science & Engineering with a certificate in German. I graduated in 2017 from Sartell High School in Sartell, Minnesota. I've been working as a camp counselor teaching German for two years, which has given me a lot of experience teaching others. I have always been especially proficient in foreign languages and look forward to tutoring language students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, petting dogs, and spending time with friends.
I'm a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Biology and English. I also work as an undergraduate writing tutor through the university's writing center. I tutor a variety of subjects, but I'm most passionate about high school and college level English and STEM skills. I believe that anyone can improve their writing through clear, logical thinking and that STEM classes, though intimidating, can be tackled by breaking down topics into smaller portions and building up from there. Outside of school, I write short stories, sketch, and hike.
I am confident in my ability to help any student--whether it's mastering a mathematical concept, improving a standardized test score, or perfecting an essay.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Logical Reasoning section makes up half of your LSAT score—it appears twice on the test with 24-26 questions per section. This section tests your ability to analyze arguments, identify logical flaws, and draw conclusions from written passages. Since it's weighted so heavily, improving your logical reasoning skills is often the fastest way to boost your overall LSAT score.
Many students struggle with pacing—the section requires careful reading and analysis, leaving limited time for each question. Others find it difficult to distinguish between similar answer choices or to identify the specific logical flaw in an argument. A third common challenge is understanding the question stem before diving into the passage, which can lead to wasted time and incorrect answers.
Personalized 1-on-1 instruction allows a tutor to identify your specific weak areas—whether that's flaw questions, weaken/strengthen questions, or assumption questions—and create a targeted study plan. Tutors can teach you efficient reading strategies, help you recognize argument patterns, and build your confidence through timed practice with immediate feedback. This focused approach typically leads to faster improvement than studying alone.
The section includes several recurring question types: Necessary Assumption, Sufficient Assumption, Weaken the Argument, Strengthen the Argument, Flaw in the Argument, and Main Point questions, among others. Each question type requires a different analytical approach. Understanding the nuances of each type and practicing them separately before mixing them together is key to mastering this section.
Many students see noticeable improvement within 4-6 weeks of focused, strategic practice—especially when working with a tutor who can identify and correct inefficient approaches. The timeline depends on your starting point and how much time you dedicate to practice. Consistent weekly tutoring sessions combined with daily practice tends to yield the best results.
Start by taking timed practice sections to identify which question types give you the most trouble, then drill those types untimed to build accuracy. Once you've improved your accuracy, gradually reintroduce time pressure. Full practice tests should be used strategically—typically once every 1-2 weeks—to track your overall progress and test your stamina. A tutor can help you analyze your mistakes and adjust your practice strategy based on patterns in your errors.
Look for tutors with proven LSAT expertise, ideally with high scores themselves and experience teaching the specific question types you find challenging. They should be able to explain the reasoning behind correct and incorrect answers clearly, adapt their teaching style to your learning needs, and help you develop a personalized study schedule. Varsity Tutors connects you with expert tutors for students in Milwaukee who specialize in LSAT prep and can work around your schedule.
Your first session typically involves a diagnostic assessment—your tutor will review your background, discuss your LSAT timeline and score goals, and work through a few Logical Reasoning questions with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses. This information helps your tutor create a customized study plan tailored to your needs. You'll leave with a clear roadmap for improvement and specific strategies to practice before your next session.
