I am a former student at Utah State University and was majoring in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and a minor in American Sign Language. I recently moved to Texas and am loving being down here. I have tutoring experience in English, formal and informal. Informal would be my younger siblings. I have tutored each of them in English as they have gone through school. Formal was being able to work a little as a volunteer in the writing center on Utah State University's campus.

I'm an outgoing person, so tutor sessions won't be stale. Quality over quantity. There isn't regurgitation in mathematics, unlike other subjects. Once you learn something it will turn up in future courses, but don't let this discourage you, because this is when it becomes habitual. If you're understanding what you're doing then have no fear math will be a walk in a park and later a hike in the mountains. Still walking :-) .

I'm an undergraduate at UH-Clear Lake working on a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences. I've tutored for about two years now, including a year working at San Jacinto College's Math Center. It was a great experience because it was very busy and I got the chance to help dozens of students every day. However, I enjoy one-on-one tutoring the most because there is less pressure to help as many people as possible. Instead, I can focus on a single student for the entire session.

I'm a firm believer that being bilingual has set me up for success in the workplace and all generations should have access to learn even outside the realm of traditional school.
