I am an enthusiastic educator with over 15 years of teaching experience including a wide range of Language Arts such as Reading, Reading Comprehension, Writing, English, English as a Second Language. (ESL) for children and adults I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and am TESOL certified. My goal is to create a relaxed environment that is stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive to the varied needs of the students. I utilize interesting and interactive curricula, incorporating continuous conversation and speaking throughout the lesson. I am a mother and a grandmother with a varied career in education and the business world, as a marketing and sales professional in the software industry. I love books and I play tennis every chance I get! As an ESL and Language Arts teacher, I hope to inspire my students to love learning as I have experienced the joy of exchanging cultural backgrounds. I have learned as much as I have taught.

I enjoy reading, particularly books of historical fiction, books of other cultures, and animals. I love the out of doors, playing tennis and walking.
