About Me

I'm a Rice University biochemistry major and GSMST (Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology) graduate where I took 15 APs/college-equivalent courses, including AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, Multivariable calculus/linear algebra, Differential equations, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism, and AP Chemistry. I am now headed to Rice University for a biochemistry major. I have loved learning my whole life, and I want to pass on this passion to others! I realized the importance of teaching in education and have seen many problems with how math is taught in school after tutoring high school students for three years as a president of the math honor society at GSMST. As a tutor, I strive to provide a positive and productive experience for my students. I recognize the importance of personalizing lessons unique to each student as each student has different strengths and weaknesses. I also encourage my students to always ask questions to make sure they understand every concept. I have a strong understanding of math including all areas of the ACT and SAT which include algebra, plane geometry, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, word problems, and precalculus. I helped tutor many students who struggle in math in school and have also helped a student improve her SAT math score from 560 to 700, and I am confident that anyone can do the same! I know all the tricks and nuances the College Board uses to test student's math skills and can identify the gaps in knowledge and prepare students accordingly. I have taken AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, Multivariable calculus/linear algebra, and Differential equations where I earned A averages in all classes. Thank you so much!
