About Me

I'm passionate about education and have been teaching for 20 years!! I'm invested in student success with a special interest in development of reading and math skills. Specifically, I believe that students who can build solid independent phonemic awareness, word decoding and recognition have a stronger foundation in Education to build upon for future success in all areas of the curriculum. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education/ Reading from Mount Union and a Master's in Education Administration from Youngstown State. I also have my PK-5 Intervention Specialist/Special Education certification and Principal Certification. I've taught in various elementary and middle school positions including general and special education as well as title. I've tutored children in all content areas. I have 6+ years experience creating lessons and teaching online in the virtual education environment in addition to my experience in the face to face classroom. Currently, I'm an Intervention Specialist in a public school district and tutoring in my free time. I look forward to working with your child!! :)
