I am a recent magnet high school graduate, and although I excelled in all academic subjects, I did not always understand math and science concepts right when the teacher taught them. I had to bridge that gap by reasoning through material on my own, which has equipped me to explain it creatively to others. I also taught myself to take the ACT and have a strong understanding of how to strengthen those test-taking skills. I have worked with young children as a dance teacher for the past three years, and I tutored peers in my high school last year. I love problem-solving with students to present information in a way with which they can work! I feel like we are on a team, finding a way to tackle the material in order to win new understanding of the world. I am passionate about History, and best at tutoring English and Math. I also have extensive dance and choral experience, which I love to share with others!
